A bed and breakfast are different from hotels. These are private homes that the owners will rent out to guests
that pay and breakfast is included. Unfortunately there are not many true bed and breakfast places anymore, but if
you look you will find them scattered around the city. There is one Amsterdam bed and breakfast called the Home
Comfort B&B. If you want almost everything at your fingertips, this is the one to stay at.
Although it is small it does have a lot to offer, it has four rooms and one private apartment. There are plenty
of cafes where one can sit and watch the world go on around them. All of the rooms do have a private shower but the
WC is shared with others. You also can share the kitchen if you want to cook. Breakfast is included in the price of
this Amsterdam Bed and Breakfast.
Another lovely and quaint Amsterdam bed and breakfast is the Heren B&B which is in the heart of the canal
area. This is listed as built in the eighteenth century it has all the comforts of home. It used to be a merchant’s
house and has been renovated with all that you need for your stay. The rooms are large and furnished like home,
there is even a loft that has a very nice atmosphere.
There is a kitchen for the guests if they want to use it. When the weather is nice, you can have your breakfast
on the roof terrace. You are given your own key and can come and go at your leisure.
If you want to get away from the city and really relax try the Amsterdam bed and breakfast try the B&B Het
Gein. The old farm house was built in eighteen sixty five and is just a short distance from the city border. You
will feel like you are miles away from the city. It has two large bedrooms each having its own bathroom, living
area and kitchen. When you open up the large folding doors you will get a breathtaking picture of the garden and
you will see cows and sheep grazing. You can even rent the whole summerhouse if you want to. It does have internet
connections, air conditioning and it is very family friendly.
There are Amsterdam bed and breakfast places that have only one room. These are nice if you are traveling alone.
One is called Albay rooms and is located just east of the city center. It is easily accessible to the museums and
attractions. Another one is called the Marhay room and it has a spacious room with a large private door so you can
come and go at will. You also can visit the garden and sit out it in.
It also has central heating and all the dishes one needs to cook with plus towels, toiletries and even a vacuum
cleaner. In the bathroom it has a heated towel rack and toilet and a shower. There are four single beds in the
room.
